New Colour Ramp Dialogue

The New Colour Ramp dialogue can be used to add a new colour ramp that MapManager can use. Colour ramps are stored in the MapManager configuration file and can be selected in the Colour Ramp Selector combo. The New Colour Ramp dialogue can be activated either in the Colour Ramp Selector combo or by pressing the 'New' button in the 'Colour Ramps' tab of the Application Settings dialogue.

The dialogue contains the following parameters:

Name - The name of the colour ramp. This name is displayed in the Colour Ramp Selector combo.
Starting Colour - The starting colour of the colour range.
Ending Colour - The ending colour of the colour range.
Style The style of the colour ramp (can be gradient or discrete). The gradient style provides continuous transition of the colours between the starting and ending colours and colour stops, while the discrete style provides to display only the selected colours and colour stops.

Colour Stops

We can specify intermediary colours to be used in the colour ramp by adding colour stops. A new colour stop can be added by pressing the 'Add stop' button, which displays the Edit Colour Stop dialogue. We can modify the selected colour stop in the list by clicking on the 'Edit stop' button. The selected colour stop can be deleted by using the 'Remove stop' button

Preview

At the bottom of the dialogue the preview section shows how the colour ramp is looking like according to the current settings.
